I agree that linear &lt;em&gt;writing&lt;/em&gt; depends on the nature of the story. What I recognized was that linear &lt;em&gt;thinking&lt;/em&gt; fragments elements that are not, in reality, separate and that there&#039;s only ever one thing happening.</description>
